With the New Year celabrations coming up here, we were unable to get train tickets to Da Nang so have changed our plans and are heading direct to Hanoi and will then work our way back down to Ho Chi Minh City
Got back to hotel yesterday to find that our flight had been resheduled from 3:30 to 6:10pm, so a bit more time to enjoy this place and all the mad traffic.
Went to the War Remnants Museum today. Very emotional and sad to see what people can do to each other and to realise that things havn’t changed much. Enjoyed a cold beer while we waited for the museum to reopen after lunch.
Got back to the hotel about 4 to realise we were running late for our flight, got to the airport 5:20, checked in and straight onto the plane with no waiting around.
Nam Hai 2 Hotel in Hanoi didn’t have us booked in so have a noisy room on the 4th floor, Now 10:00pm so will wait for the morning to venture out and see what this town has install for us
Pleased it is fine now and camping is back on. Long may it last…. It has been wet and misty here but a nicer temperature!!
