Richard has lens envy – it seems the longer and bigger a lens on your camera is the more important (and sophiscated!) you look …………….
Sometimes you have to take one for the team (as in one more shot of rice wine)

The 3 second food rule does not apply and never ever will!!
Road rules are strictly guidelines only – and not compulsory!!
Georgia is not homesick yet – just phonesick!!
The beds in this country are very firm… we will see if the soft sleeper on the train lives up to its name!
Mist is another name for Hanoi smog!!
I am hoping when I am 90 Georgia will still help me across the road. She says she will flee to another country 🙂
Hi guys looks like you are having a great time so far and go Georgia 🙂 I have sent Karen an email if you get a chance let me know what you think. I look forward to your next update 🙂 take care 🙂
What an amazingly different country to ours. You will certainly come back with a whole new outlook on our country. Hope your stomachs are tough? However, they survive so you will too. The tramping trip in the rural area sounds great. Looking forward to hearing about that. See ya!
Yes it has been amazing so far. Just got back from touring tonight so enjoying hot showers!! We have survived our first round – our new mantra what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger… Will update site when we get a minute. Got some good photos to share.
Loving your updates. We went to Vietnam two years ago. Great to see photos of the streets especially those power lines. You got to see them to believe it. And living in Christchurch, you wonder how those building would fare in an earthquake!! We went up to Hoi An, check out the tailors, interesting if the heat doesn’t get too much!! Happy travels.
The thought about earthquakes has crossed our minds a few time but probably more risk travelling any where on the roads. The weather for the last week in the north has been cold and grey like winter in NZ, looking forward to heading south again.
